Welcome! We're so happy you're here! We're Kalyn and Caela, two besties that can usually be found together in Walt Disney World or Target. We're here to bring you reviews, tips and tricks, funny anecdotes, and our favorite shopping finds. Our style is all about being cute, practical, and comfortable. We hope our blog brings you magic and joy!
To say we are obsessed with this resort is an understatement. We would probably stay here every trip just to grab an almond cold brew each morning at Le Petit Cafe (located inside the lobby). It’s made with home-made honey almond whip cream and it’s so so good. They also have pastries available for purchase! If you’re a coffee lover, this little cafe will be right up your alley.
We stayed here for the first time at the beginning of 2020 just for one night and after that we were eager to stay again. So in July when Walt Disney World reopened, we got a great deal and booked a deluxe studio for a week with DVC (Disney Vacation Club) points! To our surprise we were upgraded to a 1 bedroom villa, and it was nothing short of magical.
You can check out a full video room tour here on our Instagram here!
They have several different food selections available at the resort. Breakfast at Topolino’s Terrance is a must (and really dinner is too haha). Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy walk around to greet you while you dine, from a distance! It’s the perfect time for a selfie, they try their best to pause and look at the camera. How cute is Minnie?
A variety of pastries are served first, they are very delicious! For our entrees we ordered the quiche gruyere, fruit plate, and spiced sausage hash. (Caela’s sister was traveling with us which is why we ordered 3 entrees). You can each order 1 entree but as many “sides” as you want!! So if you’re looking to try another entree just ask for it as a “side.” It was our first time there for breakfast and we wanted to try as much as we could. So we also ordered the sour cream waffles and bacon as a side! It’s great they allow you to do this because you get more for your money. Non-alcoholic drinks are also included in the fixed price, it’s $42 per adult and $27 per child.
Overall the experience was perfect and our server was amazing. It was a great way to see characters during this time since there is no meet & greets in the parks.
They have two pools at the resort. One is a family-friendly pool with a splash area, music, and more. The other pool (which is our favorite) is more for relaxation, since it’s quieter. It feels a little luxurious to us because the water comes up to the pool deck level to give an infinity pool type feel. We bring a little cooler with us with some drinks so we don’t have to walk to the bar!
And of course my Rapunzel loving self is obsessed this mosaic arch, it’s a great photo op! It’s located right before you reach the Skyliner station. Which speaking of, is another MAJOR plus of staying here. The Riviera Resort is a Skyliner resort, which is super convenient for park days to Epcot and Hollywood studios!
Even if you never stay here at The Rivera, definitely be sure to visit for coffee, breakfast, dinner, or a quick bite to eat.
**Be sure to make a reservation for dining since this is a very popular spot. The terrance on the roof where the restaurant is located is something you don’t want to miss!
We have a reel on our Instagram featuring our favorite things about the Riviera if you want to check it out here!
