Welcome! We're so happy you're here! We're Kalyn and Caela, two besties that can usually be found together in Walt Disney World or Target. We're here to bring you reviews, tips and tricks, funny anecdotes, and our favorite shopping finds. Our style is all about being cute, practical, and comfortable. We hope our blog brings you magic and joy!
First and foremost, we want to say thank you to every single service member & their families for their dedication and sacrifice. The military lifestyle can be quite challenging at times, we know first hand how tough it can be. We’re very thankful for the friendship we have, to support each other through it all. And we’re cheering you on too, you got this!
If y’all didn’t already know, Caela and I are both military spouses. Those are our sweet guys above. We tend to go to Disney more often without them hahaha but they support our addiction from afar, and we love them so much. Below, we’re going to dive into the military discounts Disney has to offer!
Every year Disney announces promotional ticket offerings for military members and their families. They can be different or the same as the year before. For example, in 2020 they offered a 6-day ticket option but for 2021 it isn’t available. So each year there is basically a new contract being formed between the armed forces and Disney. Should the contract renew for 2022, it’s usually announced around August, and we will update the information when it releases!
You can purchase the tickets at your local MWR or at Guest Relations at WDW. Those eligible can be found below. ****If you purchase at an MWR, it will be tax free & you’ll be able to start making your park reservations right after you link them to your My Disney Experience App. Keep in mind, if you purchase from an MWR, you have to activate your tickets with guest relations once you arrive at WDW or Disneyland (before you enter your first park). This is basically just showing proof of a military ID. You will not have to do this daily, only once!
tickets MUST be purchased and activated between now & December 17, 2021. No more then 6 promotional tickets can be bought within the time frame set by Disney each year. This year being December 19, 2020 – December 17, 2021.
The Memory Maker photography package can also be purchased for $98 at WDW, up until December 17, 2021. This is a great deal because it includes all photos and videos you take during your entire trip. Regular price is $169 in advance or $199 at guest relations with no discount. Be sure to visit guest relations at any Disney Park or Disney Springs to purchase!
As for Disneyland, a lot of things seemed to of changed regarding ticket purchasing and timeline for when the tickets can be used/used by. We’re going to link a blog post from militarydisneytips.com, the information they share in super helpful.
You’ll find the food and shopping discounts at Disney Springs! It depends on the store & the discounts are ever changing but here’s a list of some of the places known for offering a discount in the past. Never hurts to ask anywhere you are! **if a discount isn’t offered anymore please let us know in the comments and we will be sure to correct it.
For resort stay discounts at WDW & Disneyland, the prices will NOT be available online. You have to call and speak to a cast member over the phone! *Shades of Green (located at WDW) is the only exception. You can book on their website!
We personally have never stayed at Shades of Green. By square footage, the rooms are the biggest studios on property, but Caela and I have always preferred to stay in the smaller refurbished rooms at the value resorts since it’s just the two of us. We have visited the property though, and it’s beautiful. You can also purchase the discounted military park tickets there! & tickets to other local spots, like Universal Studios.
Depending on the time of year and what resort you’re looking to stay at, this discount can save you lots of money! In the past, we have saved anywhere from 20%-40% when booking with a military discount.
WDW Guest Relations – (407) 939-5277 – select prompt for new resort reservation & ask for military discounts when speaking to as cast member.
Disneyland – (714) 781-4565

Hello! So about 2 weeks ago I purchased tickets for myself and a friend for our August trip! We got the 4-day Park Hopper and the tickets were $296/each. I got them at Fort Bragg, they were actually physical tickets (plastic/looked like a gift card) and they activated the tickets for us. Once I got home I was able to make our park reservations and add our tickets to the Disney app. Everything was super easy and straightforward! Just some information I wanted to share 🙂
